Don't rush Senate changes: Lambie

Independent senator Jacqui Lambie says she is "relaxed" about changes to the Senate voting system.

But she wants the government's proposal to allow preferential voting "above the line" on Senate ballot papers subject to a detailed inquiry and not rushed.

"I would like to know what deals have been done behind closed doors to see this happen," Senator Lambie told Sky News on Monday.
