Dogs removed from WA siege house

Three dogs have been removed from a property in Perth where a man kept police at bay for several hours after allegedly attacking his brother.

Police were called to the house in Clarkson after reports of a 35-year-old man being seriously assaulted.

Another man, aged 33, had barricaded himself in the house in Kawana Place.

After several hours of attempted negotiations, police entered the house, arrested the younger man and charged him with grievous bodily harm and threats to injure.

The victim of the attack remains in a serious condition in hospital, with police later confirming that his injuries included dog bites.

"Both the accused and the victim received dog bites during the incident," A WA police spokeswoman said.

Rangers attended the address on Tuesday morning and removed the dogs from the address.

The accused man was due to face Joondalup Magistrates Court later on Tuesday.
