Dog ecstatic after reunion with returned serviceman

A US Air Force airman has shared video of his puppy’s joyous reaction after he returned home following a 17-day absence.

Video of the young German Shepherd “George” cavorting about, whining, and licking the face of his owner was shared to the Instagram page of Arizona senior airman and owner “Billy”, 23, back in March.

It has since accumulated tens of thousands of views.

“George adds so much joy and happiness to our lives,” Billy’s wife, “Tricia” told TODAY US yesterday.

“He’s our best friend and we love him more than anything.”

The couple first acquired George back in December.

Billy has chronicled their subsequent adventures together across more than a hundred Instagram posts.
