Dog baited with meat pie in Melbourne

Powered by

Police are hunting for the person responsible for baiting a dog with a meat pie in Melbourne’s north-west.

Lana, a Labrador/staffy cross, had her stomach pumped after chewing on the pie, laced with either snail bait or rat poison, which she found in the backyard of her Aberfeldie home.

It’s believed the pie was deliberately thrown over the fence of the home on Rita Street between 1pm and 4pm on November 24.

Anyone with information is urged to contact RSPCA Victoria on 03 9224 2222.
