Dizzy dog rescued from out-of-control boat
nine.com.au staff
A bewildered dog had to be rescued after being abandoned on an out-of-control boat off the Queensland coast.
The rescue happened near Townsville on late Monday morning, after the boat began to donut around the water, as if steered by a ghost.
The dog's owner had dived overboard, perhaps out of frustration over the recalcitrant boat's antics.

Why exactly the dog was out on the water is unclear, but it could only sit helplessly and await rescue.
A man in a jet-ski and two other rescuers eventually bought the boat to heel, with the dog taken safely to shore.
