Divers find body at Gold Coast waterhole after 19-year-old goes missing

Police divers searching for a 19-year-old man who failed to resurface at a popular Gold Coast waterhole have found a body.

It's believed the man got into difficulties while swimming upstream at the Killarney Glen waterhole in Beechmont and became stuck underwater at about 11am on Friday.

Police early on Saturday issued a statement saying members of the police dive squad had located a man's body and a report would be prepared for the coroner.
