Disqualified driver caught twice in hour
A disqualified driver has been charged after allegedly being caught driving twice in one hour in Sydney's south.
Police say that at about 6pm on Tuesday, highway patrol officers stopped a black BMW on the Princes Highway at Heathcote and found the 40-year-old behind the wheel was not licensed to drive.
He was issued a Field Court Attendance Notice (FCAN) for driving while disqualified.
Just after 7.30pm, police stopped the same BMW on Strickland Street at Heathcote for a random breath test.
The driver returned a negative result but was again issued a FCAN for driving while disqualified.
Further checks revealed the man had been caught driving four times in a two-week period, with each occasion resulting in a charge.
The Fairy Meadows man will appear in Sutherland Local Court on March 27.
