Deregulate childcare system: senator

Liberal Democrat David Leyonhjelm is standing by his opposition to any extra spending on childcare subsidies, instead calling for deregulation of the system.
Social Services Minister Scott Morrison has flagged scrapping the $7500 cap on childcare rebates in exchange for cutting back payments for wealthy families.
Senator Leyonhjelm told ABC radio on Monday taxpayers should not be funding expensive care and the government should scrap rules and regulations that are pushing up childcare costs.
