Denver police have busted a move for a new Facebook music video aimed at ‘humanising’ the police force.

The video, which features officers, cadets and kids dancing to LunchMoney Lewis’ ‘Ain’t It Cool’, was posted to the Denver Police Department’s Facebook page yesterday.

“Because the days are long and the job can be tough and sometimes you just gotta dance it out,” the caption reads.

Viewed hundreds of thousands of times, the video has since attracted a strong response from Facebook users.

“That's how you connect with your community,” user J-Smokey HighClass Reyes said.

The Denver Police Department was named the worst in the country for excessive force six years ago, local publication Westword reports.

The department is undergoing reforms introduced in a series of bills last year, the Denver Post reports.

The video comes following the recent high-profile police shootings of black men in Louisiana and Minnesota.
