Defence looks to experts of the future

Defence is set to start recruiting civilian experts to help fight the wars of the future.

Defence Minister Kevin Andrews said the upcoming white paper, the government's top level security planning document, would feature a range of new employment opportunities for those with the skills needed by Defence over coming decades.

That includes people with expertise in cyberspace, surveillance and communications to enable the uniformed force to fight and win in conflicts of the future.
