Daylight saving will begin tomorrow for many states across the country, meaning an hour less sleep tonight but an hour of sunshine at night.

Daylight saving starts from 2am tomorrow with NSW, Victoria, Tasmania, South Australia and ACT residents set to put their clocks forward an hour.

There are no time changes in Queensland, Western Australia and the Northern Territory.

Most smartphones will automatically adjust the time during the night but it’s best to check the settings before going to bed.

Daylight saving runs until 3am on April 1 next year, when clocks will go back an hour.
