'You Have to F---ing Eat': Another inspired public reading by Dave Hughes
Comedian Dave Hughes has followed up his inspired reading of Jane Austen's Pride and Prejudice on a public train with the recital of a new children's book, You Have to F---ing Eat.
Hughes read the book, a sequel to the hugely successful Go the F—k to Sleep, by American author Adam Mansbach, to help launch Amazon's Australian arm of its audio book brand Audible last night.
"Pride and Prejudice is a big part of our lives," he told his audience before the reading. "My wife had a Mr Darcy stripper at her hen night.
"This is the first copy of You Have to F---ing Eat in Australia, so I could make a lot of money on eBay for this. But I'm going to read it off paper because turning the pages will annoy you".
The tongue-in-cheek book, which is peppered with profanities, is described as a "children's book for adults".
