Dashcam captures fireball erupting after plane crashes into shopping centre
Dashcam footage has emerged of the moment a light aircraft plummeted at high speed into a Melbourne shopping centre this morning and erupted in flames.
The video shows vehicles travelling on the Tullamarine Freeway when suddenly a fiery plume of smoke appears at DFO shopping centre.
A mushroom cloud of black smoke is then seen hurtling into the sky.
Veteran pilot Max Quatermain and four US golfers died after the Beechcraft B200 King Air aircraft crashed just after 9am.

A local pilot, who has chosen to remain anonymous, said the plane was travelling at “least 214km/hr” when it crashed.
"When it hit DFO the last ping said it was at 150 feet and 107 knots so that's 214km/h"
Victorian Premier Daniel Andrews today called the crash a "catastrophic" event.
"This is the worst single aviation accident Victoria has seen in 30 years," he said.
