Australian singer Daryl Braithwaite has been forced to cancel a number of shows including a performance at the Australian Open last tonight, due to a “sudden admission into hospital”.
The popular The Horses singer posted a message on his Facebook page confirming the cancellation as a result of illness.
“I unfortunately and regrettably have had to cancel this week’s shows due to illness and sudden admission into hospital,” Braithwaite wrote.
“I am disappointed that I won’t be able to perform at the Australian Open Tennis tonight nor the Mornington Peninsula RHST shows this weekend.
“I am hoping to make a speedy recovery and be back doing shows very soon.”
The post has attracted more than one thousand comments, with fans wishing him a speedy recovery.
