Heavy surf and swell off NSW coast as BoM issues warning
A hazardous surf warning is in place for coastlines along New South Wales today, with further dangerous conditions expected tomorrow.
The Bureau of Meteorology has issued a warning for regions from Eden in the south to Byron Bay in the north.
Surf and swell conditions are expected to be hazardous for coastal activities such as rock fishing, boating, and swimming, BoM warned.

The primary swell direction is from the south.
The 9News helicopter recorded vision of the heaving waves near Sydney, with the ocean frothing near white off Bondi.
NSW Police have advised people to consider staying out of the water, and avoid walking near surf-exposed areas.

Rock-fishers are urged to avoid platforms exposed to the ocean, and boaters looking to cross shallow water and ocean bars are advised to change their plans.
