Czech teenage soap star fired after being exposed as prostitute

A Czech teenage soap star has lost her day job after the producers learnt she was working as a $100-an hour prostitute.

Diana Korbelova, 18, was known to most Czechs as student Maria from popular soap opera The Street but after a number of the part time sex worker's clients bragged about bedding her online her two worlds collided, Czech news website Blesk reports.

When she wasn't shooting scenes for the TV series she was working as a $100-an hour prostitute in a rented Prague apartment under the pseudonym Ester.

Client Petr Cisek, 54, said the actress had told him that she had worked from the apartment for two months.

"She said she got more customers than the girls who had worked there much longer than she had, and that they were all jealous of her," he said.

Another satisfied customer, Premysl Koudela, 37, said he had sex with Korbelova on September 1.

"I will visit her again for sure," he said.

After the news spread Korbelova was fired from her acting job by TV Nova, which produces the soap.

Spokeswoman Anna Sucha said they didn't have any problems with Korbelova during filming "but that was before we found this out".

"She will not be asked to return and we do not plan to co-operate with her again," she said

"As far as we are concerned her career is over."

Korbelova was not available to comment.
