A Perth woman has been knocked off her bike by a car in a hit and run, with shocking footage of the incident captured on camera.

The woman was taken to hospital, after the car came from the rear and slammed into a group of cyclists.

A group called Cycle put the video of the crash, which happened on Saturday in Midland, on Facebook overnight.

“This is a horrible crime, a Hit’n’Run is a most disgusting way to treat another human being,” the video caption says.

If you hurt someone, you own your error, you ensure everyone is OK and you deal with it,” the video caption reads.”

Many have left comments at their outrage.

“I wonder if you can take them to civil court and take them for everything they own. Mental anguish after this would be immense,” commented one person.

“Hope they lock the d---head away,” wrote another.

Some of the cyclists chased the driver and were able to get his registration number.

Police have confirmed they are investigating the incident.
