A teenager has been charged after a cyclist was seriously injured in a national park in northern Sydney.
Emergency services were called to Ku-ring-gai Chase National Park yesterday morning, after a crash between the rider and a Toyota Lexcen.
Paramedics performed CPR on the 51-year-old at the scene, he was then transported to hospital in a serious but stable condition.
The driver of the car, an 18-year-old was arrested and taken for mandatory tests at hospital.
He has since been charged with five offences including; dangerous driving occasioning actual bodily harm, negligent driving, drive in a dangerous manner, overtake where unsafe and not keep left of dividing lane.
The teen, who was on his P plates, has been suspended from driving, and granted bail.
He’ll appear in court towards the end of the month.
