Police are hunting an elaborately costumed man after he robbed a Melbourne McDonald’s restaurant in female clothing last weekend.
Wearing black high heeled shoes, black fish-net stockings, a pink shawl and a blonde wig, the man demanded cash while claiming to have the detonator for a bomb hidden in the Laverton North restaurant, in the city’s west.
The man fled the store on foot with cash from the till and is described by police as having a “chiselled jaw and heavy stubble”.
Police did not find any explosive device and have released CCTV in the hope of tracking down the man.
He is seen casually entering the McDonald’s and demanding the cash before sprinting from the Fitzgerald Rd building.
He is described as being of Caucasian appearance, around 183cm tall and of thin build.
Anyone with information over the incident is urged to call Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
