Man ‘tried to stop truck’ before fatal crash into home

A man has died after a truck crashed into a house in Crookwell in the Southern Tablelands of New South Wales.

Emergency services were called to a house in Brooklyn Street at about 10.30am.

The 59-year-old male driver was killed in the crash.

Police said he appeared to have suffered a medical episode before the accident.

The male passenger tried to stop the truck before it crashed, but was unsuccessful.

Nobody else was injured in the crash.

A report will be prepared for the coroner.
