Courier hurls delicate package into Adelaide yard

A courier has been caught twice on CCTV hurling a fragile package into an Adelaide woman's front yard.

Josie Grummel had a box of "delicate" air fresheners sent to her Kudla home after doing some early Christmas shopping for family members online.

She found the box marked "fragile" strewn in her lawn and checked her security cameras.

The disgruntled online shopper found footage of a private courier throwing the box over the fence and in to the yard.

"He could have just put them neatly over the fence – there was no need to throw them," Ms Grummel told Seven News.

Ten days later, the same courier returned.

He again catapulted a box into Ms Grummel's yard instead of opening the gate and leaving it inside the premises.  

The contents of the package were not damaged but the courier is reportedly under investigation.

Ms Grummel’s complaint comes days after a Melbourne man filmed an Australia Post worker throwing parcels into his van with "not a care in the world".

"Throw them in and don’t even look where they land," Glenn Burr, who posted the video, wrote on Facebook.

An Australian Post spokeswoman said the company is investigating the incident.

"This is clearly not in line with our delivery and safe handling procedures and we have begun an investigation into this incident, " the spokeswoman said.
