Snack pulled from Costco shelves over allergy fears

Olives sold at Costco stores around the country have been recalled over allergy fears.

The Ausfresh Epic Oddisee Santorini marinated pitted olive mix in the 920-gram jar have been pulled from shelves, according to a Food Standards recall notice.

The notice said it was due to the undeclared presence of milk in the product.

"Any consumers who have a milk allergy or intolerance may have a reaction if the product is consumed," the notice read.

People with a milk allergy should not eat the olives.

Customers can return the product to their place of purchase for a full refund.

The olives were sold in Costco branches around the country, except for in Tasmania and the Northern Territory.
