WA launches 'uplifting' vaccination campaign
WA Premier Mark McGowan has announced a new "uplifting" advertising campaign aimed at lifting the state's COVID-19 vaccination rate.
It comes as a vaccination clinic at the Perth Royal Show will offer walk-ins with no bookings this week, he says.
Mr McGowan said 61.8 per cent of the state have had one dose of the coronavirus vaccine while 43 per cent are double dose vaccinated.

"What we are trying to do is everything we can to encourage Western Australians to come forward and get vaccinated," Mr McGowan said.
The premier said the new ad campaign would be "uplifting" and highlight the community benefits of high vaccination rates.

It is aimed at a range of age groups to encourage more residents to get the shot, Mr McGowan says.
Western Australia recorded no new coronavirus cases across the state overnight.

Mr McGowan said the government could not set a date to reopen the border to NSW and Victoria "because their situation is very serious".
"We'll set a date when it's safe to do so," he said.
"The border will open one day ... and the international border will be opening at some time, so go and get vaccinated."
