Two new exposure sites have been identified in South Australia, with links to a COVID-19 positive truck driver from New South Wales who passed through the state yesterday.

The first location is the Port Wakefield On The Run service station on Snowtown Road, which was previously a BP.

Anyone who visited the site from 1.50pm to 3.20pm yesterday must get tested immediately and quarantine for 14 days.

The second site of concern is the Metcash Distribution Centre on Port Wakefield Road at Gepps Cross.

Anyone who was there between 8:30am and 9:30am yesterday morning should monitor for symptoms and get tested if they develop.

Police Commissioner Grant Stevens said the infectious truck driver has since returned to NSW.

"The truck driver concerned I'm advised is being very cooperative, has provided a wealth of information about his movements and that's just being verified at the moment," Commissioner Stevens said.

"It appears that we've got onto this very quickly. The truck driver was only in South Australia yesterday and we're already moving to take action with those exposure sites".

Meanwhile, border restrictions with south-east Queensland and Katherine in the Northern Territory have now been lifted.

Commissioner Stevens has also hinted rules for private functions, in particular weddings, could be eased in coming days.
