COVID-19 case in Howard Springs after repatriation flight from India
A person who returned to Australia on a repatriation flight from India has tested positive to COVID-19.
The Northern Territory's acting chief health officer, Dr Charles Pain, today revealed the new coronavirus case at the Howard Springs quarantine facility.
The person had returned to Australia on a flight from India on Saturday.

It is possible there could be more cases from the same flight, with further testing to come.
Flights resumed from the COVID-wracked nation of India over the weekend, after a temporary travel ban imposed by the Federal Government.
India is being hammered by the virus, with hundreds of thousands of cases and thousands of deaths being recorded daily.
The news of the Howard Springs case came as Prime Minister Scott Morrison today addressed the question of borders reopening.

He says Australians should expect the process to happen gradually, not "at the flick of a switch".
"There's a sliding sort of scale here. And we're working on the next steps," he said.
The first step will likely involve vaccinated Australians being able to travel freely across state borders.
Attention will then turn to bringing in international students, and migrants needed to meet the needs of the agricultural sector and the hospitality sector.
