COVID-19 fines issued after hundreds attend party at NSW nudist beach
Three people have been slugged with $1000 fines after a party at a nudist beach in northern New South Wales was attended by hundreds.
Officers were called to Tyagarah Beach just north of Byron Bay at about 7.30am on Sunday, following complaints of a large gathering.
More than 20 people were at the party, with police told up to 500 people had attended the night before.

Three people were issued with personal infringement notices for not complying with COVID-19 health directions.
It is illegal in New South Wales for more than 20 people to gather in a public outdoor area.
Tyagarah Beach is "clothes optional" and nude bathing is permitted along an 800-metre stretch of shoreline.
