NSW Premier blindsided by Queensland border changes, told news while on air
NSW Premier Gladys Berejiklian says she was unaware of Queensland's plans to reopen its border to Greater Sydney next week until she heard about it live on air with 2GB host Ben Fordham.
When asked to comment on the announcement from Queensland Premier Annastacia Palaszczuk that the Sunshine State would reopen to NSW, Ms Berejiklian appeared to be taken by surprise.

"What do you know that I don't?" she asked Fordham.
"I can tell you the news now if you'd like," Fordham said, revealing the proposed relaxations.
"Fantastic, that's good news," Ms Berejiklian replied.
"We've had to be too patient … I hope that his brings a lot of hope and joy to people."

Annastasia Palaszczuk announces Queensland to reopen borders to NSW on Today. Today
Ms Palaszczuk confirmed to Today the hard border lockout would end on February 1 after restrictions were introduced in December last year.
"Why is that I've got to break that news to you and the Queensland Premier didn't call you direct?" Fordam asked.
"It's alright, the important thing is the right outcome is achieved," Ms Berejiklian said.
