New South Wales has recorded 12 new cases of coronavirus in the past 24 hours, with 10 in hotel quarantine.

The two local cases are household contacts of people linked to the Oran Park cluster and have been in isolation, NSW Health said.

There are now 25 cases linked to this cluster.

There were 6438 tests in the last day, taking the state's total number to more than three million during the pandemic.

"I want to thank everyone in NSW who has come forward to be tested – three million COVID-19 tests is an incredible result," NSW Premier Berejiklian said.

"As we ease restrictions, it is critical that we maintain our high rates of testing which has been central to our success in limiting the spread of the virus and keeping NSW open."
