Tearful reunions as borders come down for South Australians
South Australians are reuniting with loved ones across the country as border rules soften following the state's Parafield outbreak of COVID-19.
A four-week directive from the Queensland government declaring Adelaide a virus hotspot has come to an end, meaning South Australians no longer have to quarantine on arrival in the Sunshine State.
Michelle Morrison is one of those making the trip to Brisbane.

"It's going to be a lot of tears tonight, but happy tears," she told 9News.
She has not seen her family or her best friend for 12 months.
"It's my sister's 50th tonight, they don't know I'm coming so I'm going to surprise everybody," she said.

"I was supposed to be there a couple of weeks ago, so I'm very, very happy that Queensland's opening up their borders and there's no quarantine."
South Australia's border with Victoria has opened up more too.
South Australians no longer need a permit to cross over, but will be subject to spot-checks.
