Woman in induced coma after cooking oil explosion
A woman has been placed in an induced coma after cooking oil exploded and set her body on fire in the Blue Mountains.
Police rushed the Mounties Care CareFlight Helicopter medical team to the woman's home after it landed in Summerhayes Park, Winmalee, about 1.15pm on Sunday.
"A woman, aged in her late 30s, has sustained burns to her back and legs when cooking oil exploded and set her body on fire in a Winmalee residence," CareFlight said in a statement.

The organisation said the woman was intubated and placed in an induced coma to stabilise her.
She was airlifted to the specialist burns unit at Royal North Shore Hospital in a stable condition.
