Convicted paedophile Dick Caine dies in hospital
Convicted paedophile and disgraced swimming coach Dick Caine has died in hospital, Nine News has confirmed.
The 78-year-old was in palliative care with terminal cancer.
It comes one month after the former swimming coach was found guilty of 39 acts of raping and sexually abusing six of his teenage students in the 1970s and 1980s.

The assaults took place at the Carss Park swimming pool in Sydney's south, as well as at his home and in his car.
Judge McGuire said at the time of his conviction that the coach had an interest in pre-pubescent and pubescent girls and acted on that interest, including raping a girl who was 10 years old at the time.
The matter was supposed to return to court on December 6 to determine a penalty.
