Construction union official faces court

A Queensland union official has been served with a notice to appear in court over alleged intimidation of government officers in 2013.

The 36-year-old Construction Forestry Mining and Energy Union official from Jimboomba allegedly intimidated two Fair Work Building and Construction officials on a Sunshine Coast building site in July 2013.

It will also be alleged in court the man provided false declarations to the Fair Work Commission on three occasions when applying for an entry permit to access building sites.

He is due to appear in Brisbane Magistrates Court on October 15.
