A befuddled and potentially drunk young man bogged his car on train tracks after he mistook them for a road in the dark.
Police say the 24-year-old man from Hastings south of Melbourne became confused when crossing the tracks at the intersection of Overton Road and Dandenong Road East, in Frankston South, just before 9.40pm (AEST) on Monday.
He turned his car on to the railway and drove a short distance before becoming bogged.

All trains through the area had to be stopped while the stuck vehicle was released.
The driver returned a positive result on a preliminary breath test and will be charged with a range of traffic offences including drink driving.
