Melissa Rivers has thanked well-wishers for their support while her mother remains in a medically induced coma.
The Fashion Police host and 81-year-old suffered complications during throat surgery in New York yesterday.
In a statement to E News, Melissa expressed her gratitude as her mother recovered in hospital.
“My mother would be so touched by the tributes and prayers that we have received from around the world,” the statement read.
“Her condition remains serious but she is receiving the best treatment and care possible.
“We ask that you continue to keep her in your thoughts as we pray for her recovery.”
Melissa and her son, Cooper, flew across the country yesterday to be by the comic legend's side.
Joan remains in stable, critical condition at Mount Sinai Hospital.
