Aussie comedian's epic marriage proposal

An Australian man working in the US has secretly returned home to stage one of the most elaborate marriage proposal of all time, combining all of his partner's favourite things in a customised dance routine.

Comedian Jehan Ratnatunga was working for YouTube in Los Angeles when he came up with the idea to pop the question to his Melbourne-based girlfriend Vishanti.

To make the proposal even more special Mr Ratnatunga paid homage to his some of lover's favourite things including; Michael Jackson, Will Smith, Bollywood actor Rajinkanth, Beyonce and Minnie Mouse.

To make the complex plan work the funnyman enlisted the help of one of Vishanti's girlfriends, who kicked off the ruse by telling her unsuspecting friend that she wanted to show her a video.

A hidden camera records Vishanti's reaction as she watches a take on a scene from her favourite Bollywood movie, with a twist — Dancers in Mickey Mouse suits perform the routine that Vishanti knows off by heart.

Moments later the dancing suddenly stops and a message appears onscreen prompting Vishanti to answer the door.

She opens it to another person in a Mickey Mouse suit who leads her outside where a troupe of identically dressed dancers perform to a medley of songs from Vishanti's favourite singers.

The clip ends with Mr Ratnatunga revealing himself as one of the many Mickeys before he drops to one knee, pulls out a ring and pops the question.
