Police hunt man after teen girl touched at NSW beach

Police have released an image of a man they're hunting after a teenage girl was allegedly followed and touched by a man on the NSW's north coast.

The 14-year old girl was with a group of people near the surf lifesaving club at Sawtell Beach near Coffs Harbour on 8 September when a man was seen watching them.

They moved, but he later approached them as they walked into the town.

Police allege he touched the girl before she walked away. The man is described as being age in his late 30s to early 40s, between 170-180cm tall, with an olive complexion and an average build.

He was wearing an orange baseball cap, a short sleeve dark coloured sports jersey and board shorts.
