Mystery graffiti on iconic heritage-listed clock tower in Melbourne

Mysterious red graffiti has appeared on the heritage-listed clock tower at Melbourne's Flinders Street railway station.

It's understood trespassers made their way to the tower early on Wednesday morning.

They graffitied the clock with spray paint.

Along with repeated red symbols is the phrase "MY CLOCK" in black capital letters.

The clean-up bill is expected to total more than $24,200.

Investigators urge anybody who witnessed the incident or who has any information to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
