Climate activists booted from parliament

Several members of the public have been kicked out of federal parliament's question time after crying foul about climate change in the middle of proceedings.

At least four people rose to their feet, one at a time, in the public gallery on Thursday to speak about the issue before being escorted out by security.

"We are living through a mass extinction event," one shouted before being booted from the gallery.
