Clarification – Lovnish Mediratta and Gagan Gola

On 21 July 2020, an article was published on the Nine News website regarding the arrests and subsequent charging of Lovnish Mediratta and Gagan Gola in relation to alleged breaches of public health restrictions at the South Australian border.
Mr Mediratta and Mr Gola have at all times denied any wrongdoing. They say they had valid border permits and did not evade police at the border.
As per the Nine News bulletin broadcast in Adelaide on 19 August 2021, Nine confirms that South Australia Police have dropped all charges against Mr Mediratta and Mr Gola.
