Two men have been charged over the theft of $7 million worth of cigarettes which were stolen from a Sydney warehouse earlier this year.

Search warrants were also executed on homes at Prestons, and Abbotsbury.

Officers seized 1,550 cartons of cigarettes, $250,000 worth of cash and two Toyota Hilux vehicles.

A 46-year-old man was arrested in Prestons and charged with two counts of receiving goods suspected of being stolen and knowingly deal with proceeds of crime.

He was granted bail to appear in Liverpool local court today.

Another man, 44, was arrested in Merrylands and charged with the same crimes, he’ll appear in Campbelltown court today.

Inquiries are continuing.
