Christmas Grinch unwittingly caught on camera

An overweight Christmas Grinch has been unwittingly filmed as she stole presents from front doors in Perth.

At least three families have managed to film the woman walking up to their door steps and stealing packages, shortly after they had been delivered by a courier.

On Wednesday afternoon, Wanneroo resident Jayden Kitto uploaded CCTV vision to Facebook of a woman running out of a red car and snatching presents from his front porch.

Shortly after, Mr Kitto wrote on the social media website: "They got the driver and they know who the thief is".

A 25-year-old woman was arrested and 12 parcels, filled with children's Christmas gifts, were found inside the boot of a red Hyundai seen in the videos.

On Monday, Gail McIlroy was outraged to discover the woman stealing Christmas deliveries on her security camera footage.

"It's sick," Mrs McIlroy told 9News.

"That's the reason I put it on Facebook, put it on Crime Watch."

A family in nearby Tapping have told 9News they have vision of the same woman stealing $1,500 worth of Christmas presents from their front door.

WA Police have confirmed that investigations are ongoing - with the one woman arrested so far, but no charges laid.

They are advising residents expecting parcels to contact their supplier to ensure parcels will not be left without a signature, or are left in a secure place.
