Chris Hemsworth has been named among Tinseltown's wealthiest actors in the Forbes Hollywood Rich List.
The Australian actor appeared on the list for the first time, coming in fifth with an annual take of $37 million (A$39.47 million) thanks to the popularity of his superhero film Thor: The Dark World.
Superheroes featured heavily in the top five, with Hemsworth's Avengers co-star Robert Downey Jr topping the list for the second year in a row.
Downey Jr boasted earnings of $75 million (A$80 million) for the 2013-14 financial year.
Former wrestler Dwayne Johnson's work in blockbusters including the Fast and the Furious film series pushed him to number two on the list, with earnings of $52 million (A$55.47 million).
Bradley Cooper, who handles romantic comedy, action and more serious roles with equal aplomb, was third after his past year's work netted him $46 million (A$49.07 million).
