Man arrested after allegedly refusing to leave hotel room while armed
A man has been arrested after refusing to leave his hotel room while allegedly armed in Sydney's CBD this afternoon.
Police say the man failed to check out of the hotel on Broadway in Chippendale by 10am so an employee went up to the room to check on him at 1pm.
The man refused to leave and the employee claims to have seen a gun in the room, allegedly in the possession of the man.

Specialist police were called and arrived at 1.15pm and the section of the street was closed as police moved in.
The alleged weapon has been seized for forensic testing.
The 43-year-old man was arrested and was taken to Day Street Police Station.
A crime scene has been established.
He is assisting police with their enquiries.
