Chip shop worker bashed on Gold Coast

A fish and chip shop worker who refused to hand over her takings has been bashed with a metal pipe on the Gold Coast.
The 55-year-old woman suffered a broken arm, broken collar bone, cuts and bruises during the vicious attack at Palm Beach about 9pm (AEST) on Sunday.
Police are searching for her attacker, who became enraged when she refused to surrender money from the till.

But they lack a proper description of the offender, who had his face covered during the attack.
