Chinese woman dives into chilly lake to save her iPhone 5

It’s a common malady in a world of ubiquitous smartphones – but one woman has refused to let her iPhone die a waterlogged death.

The Chinese woman reportedly plunged into Longtan Lake in Beijing, to retrieve her iPhone 5, after she accidentally dropped the device in the water, the People’s Daily reported.

She was fully clothed, and it would have been a chilly sacrifice – in February, the average high in Beijing is just five degrees.
