Chair could help solve Qld mum's death

A red and black camping chair may provide clues about the suspected murder of a woman in the Queensland border town of Goondiwindi.

Mother-of-three Alexis Jeffery, 24, was found dead at the edge of the Macintyre River late on March 16.

Detectives believe the camping chair was placed on the river bank adjacent to Goondiwindi's cultural centre prior to her death and are calling for people who recognise it to come forward.

Police say that area of the river is commonly used by recreational fisherman and families.

The young mother was last seen alive in the town's centre at 3.30am on March 16.
