A man involved in a chainsaw road rage incident in Sydney’s west has been sentenced.

Zein pulled a chainsaw out of his car and revved it while approaching screaming bystanders.

The incident on The Horsley Drive was captured on video.

Police say a Toyota Hilux and a Jeep stopped at an intersection of The Horsley Drive and McLaren Street.

The driver of the Hilux then exited his car, approached the Jeep and punched that car's driver through an open window.

He then went back to his vehicle and pulled out a chainsaw.

Both men left the scene and a police investigation commenced.

Zein was later arrested and charged with affray and being armed with intent to commit an indictable offence.
