CFMEU celebrates win over federal police

The construction union has had a win over federal police with a raid of its Canberra offices ruled unlawful.
ACT Supreme Court judge Richard Refshauge on Wednesday found legal requirements were breached during the August raid on the CFMEU headquarters, which national secretary Dave Noonan described as a "clear politicisation of the Australian Federal Police".
"That such substantial resources were devoted to this raid smacks of overkill for purely political purposes," Mr Noonan said in a statement.
