New images released of fourth man wanted over Pyrmont attack

Police have released new images of a fourth man suspected of being involved in a serious assault on three teenage girls in a Sydney park last weekend.

At 9.40pm on Saturday, the girls, aged 15 and 16, were repeatedly assaulted in Pirrama Park in Pyrmont by a group of men after an verbal argument broke out.

Three men have already been charged over the brawl.

A fourth man, believed to be in his early 20s, is described as Caucasian in appearance with short brown hair.

He was wearing a grey hoodie with dark shorts and blue sneakers at the time.

Authorities are encouraging anybody who has information on the attack or recognises the man to come forward.

Three men – aged 21, 23 and 29 – were taken to Day Street Police Station on Saturday night, where the older two men were charged with affray and common assault.

It was revealed in court earlier this week that one of the men, 29-year-old Jesse Mackenzie from Double Bay, has previous charges against him relating to violence against women.

He now stands accused of punching a 16-year-old girl in the face, grabbing another by the hair and dragging her for up to five metres, before throwing her off a concrete ledge.

In a bid for bail Mr Mackenzie, a Telstra worker, offered to live under house arrest when not at work or reporting to police.

This was denied.

His lawyer claims that he was acting out of self-defence and that he suffers from anxiety and depression.
