CCTV captures moment car deliberately mows down group in Sydney’s south-west

Police are hunting a driver who allegedly deliberately drove into a group of people standing in the middle of a street in Sydney’s south-west last night.

CCTV shows a group of four people gathering on Narelle Crescent in Greenacre just before 7pm, when a white Nissan Pulsar slams into them, sending one person flipping onto the windscreen of the car before falling onto the ground.

The car is then seen reversing before it speeds away, with onlookers trying unsuccessfully to stop the driver fleeing.

It is believed there was an argument in the moments before the collision.

A 23-year-old man suffered a broken ankle and a 20-year-old woman sustained bruising after being hit by the car.

Police later found the vehicle abandoned in a nearby street.
